Adverse events of Sildenafil (Viagra) on visual function

Abstract: Sildenafil (Viagra) is a selective inhibitor of PDE5, which used for the treatment of men with erectile dysfunction. The common side effects of Sildenafil have been reported  including facial flushing, headache and nasal hemorrhage. And the adverse events of Sildenafil in ocular are including branch retinal arterial obstruction(BRAO), proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR), nonarteritic anterior ischemic opticneuropathy(NAION), and central serous chorioretinopathy(CSC), etc.  (Int Rev Ophthalmol, 2013, 37: 415-418)
